Come Do Houston In A Star Spangled Manner!

This 1-day dance competition offers a mixture of Pro-Am and Am-Am events for dancers of all ages and skill levels.  There are divisions for children, Juniors, Pre-teens, Young Adults and several Adult divisions in both the International Standard & Latin and the American Smooth & Rhythm styles of dance. 

Scholarship funds will be awarded for many of our events. 

Some divisions feature 2-dance, 3-dance, 4-dance or 5-dance competitions.

Some Scholarship Events involve 6 dances, such as Waltz, Foxtrot and Tango in American Smooth plus Cha-cha, Rumba and Swing in American Rhythm.  Ample time will be allowed between the two styles for costume changes.

We will be using a restricted syllabus.  For International styles, please use the ISTD Ballroom and Latin technique books and step lists at all levels through Gold; other material may be used in the Open Divisions.  For the American style Closed Bronze Scholarship divisions, use the USISTD American Style Bronze Syllabus. The manuals containing the steps for this style are available from www.usistd.org via their sales division.  For Silver and Gold levels, use any NDCA-approved syllabus
