Dance Instructor Boot Camp

US Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (US ISTD) Examiner Phillip Stephens
 is offering Dance Teacher Certification Training
 in a 1-week US ISTD-approved "Boot Camp" format.
 
 The course will cover the US ISTD Associate American style Ballroom (Smooth) syllabus.
 
 The training will take place in Houston, Texas, during the week of July 21 - 25, 2008,
 at The Dance Place, 3300 Chimney Rock, Suite 500, Houston, TX, 77056.
 
 This 5-day course will consist of 30 hours of training for a total cost of $350 per person.
 
 This training will cover everything you need in order to prepare for your
 US ISTD Associate American Ballroom (Smooth) Examination
 
 Course hours are from 10am until 5pm daily with a 1-hour break for lunch.
 
 You will:
  Learn a routine in Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz.
  Learn the individual steps/patterns in each of the 4 dances listed above as both Man and Lady.
  Learn the technical details for each of the steps/patterns in the Associate Smooth syllabus.
  Groom your presentations to add the professional polish that will enhance your examination performance
 
 You will have ample time to practice and study during the 5 days of this course.
 Additional lessons before or after the course can be arranged.
 
 Training on an additional style of dance during your visit to Houston can also be arranged.
 
 An Examination Session will take place at The Dance Place during the weekend of August 22-23, 2008.   With adequate study before and afterward, participation in this Dance Teacher Certification Training Boot Camp will prepare you for taking your American Smooth Associate Examination during the August Examination Session!
 
 Participants in this Boot Camp must purchase the US ISTD American Bronze Ballroom manual written by Esther Don. This manual is available from the US ISTD Publications Department. For purchase details, visit  <http://www.usistd.org> www.usistd.org.
 
 Lodging and food costs are not included in the tuition for this course.
