| What a Year! |
Wow - this year has really zipped along
quickly! In just a little over 3 weeks, we'll be celebrating
the birth of a new year. A lot has happened around The Dance
Place in the past 11 months. We've had many new people join
our ever growing family of dancers. Our Friday Night
Practice Parties have grown to the point that we have 65-70
people attend them regularly.

weeks! |
US ISTD Fellow and Examiner Phillip
Stephens offers training programs at The Dance Place
that teach you how become a dance teacher.
Participants learn the Male
(lead) and Female (follow) parts of each
Foundation-level pattern in each of the 7 dances covered in
the course. You also learn a short routine featuring the
patterns for each of the dances covered in the training
course.
All training occurs at The Dance Place, 3300 Chimney Rock,
suite 500, Houston, TX, 77056.

| New Classes |
This is an exciting new class that will be
held at 9pm every Wednesday beginning on March 5th.
The class will cover the usual dances like Foxtrot, Waltz,
Tango, Rumba, Cha-cha and Swing and, in addition, will also
cover Bolero and Viennese Waltz.

| Are you "Dance Teacher"
Material? |
"Learn
to Teach Ballroom Dancing" training is available
at The Dance Place. In
addition to learning both the male and female halves of each
pattern, the basics of timing, hold, leg actions, leading
and following and certain other techniques are also covered
in this training.
